Aasaf is a versatile director with over two decades of experience spanning television drama, commercials, and independent film. After training at the London Film School, he built his early career as a commercial director at Ridley Scott Associates, Great Guns, and Park Village, earning recognition at Cannes Lions and D&AD.

In television, he has been a recurring director on BBC's flagship medical drama Casualty, helming episodes across three series. His feature projects have drawn strong industry interest: The Season, with Something About Mary producer Frank Bedor, and School Run, with How to Build a Girl producer Alison Owen, have both been optioned and developed by Pathé and Film4.

Building on his award-winning web series Living with the Infidels, Aasaf co-wrote and developed a five-part comedy series for the BBC with executive producer John Yorke and Absolutely Fabulous producer Jo Sargent. His short films — including Bruised Fruit, starring Kathy Burke (Nil By Mouth, Blitz) and Mark Addy (The Full Monty); Billy Badmouth; and Satisfaction, featuring Michael Parks (Kill Bill) — have screened internationally at the London Film Festival, Edinburgh International Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand, Berlinale, the Morocco Film Festival, and the Rhode Island International Film Festival.

He also lectures on the MA programme at the London Film School, teaching multi-camera directing, YouTube intensive content creation, and directing commercials.

His latest short, Peregrine, developed and funded by the BFI, has been acquired by BBC3 for its "Animalistic" strand, scheduled for late 2025. Most recently, Aasaf directed the segment "Crossing the Earth" for Film Suffolk's anthology series Once Upon a Time in Suffolk, working closely with 探花社区 film students in the process. The film has since received an official selection at Suffolk Shorts East x East, screening in October 2026.
