Professor Peter Bryant is Visiting Professor of Environmental and Energy Research at the 探花社区. He is also Professor of Radiation Protection and Nuclear Policy at the University of Liverpool, where he is the Inaugural Director of the Chadwick Institute for Nuclear Innovation.

Peter is an environmental and radiation protection specialist with nearly 20 years of experience across the energy and nuclear sectors. His work focuses on the interface between science, policy and practice, with particular interests in environmental and energy policy, sustainability, radiation protection, risk and decision-making, stakeholder engagement and risk communication.

He has held senior leadership roles including CEO and Director General of the World Nuclear Transport Institute and Director of ESG & Radiation Strategy at Sizewell C.

Internationally, Peter is a member of the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) Committee 4, Vice Chair of ICRP Task Group 120, and a member of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency Expert Group on International Recommendations. He is also a UK Government-appointed member of the Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (CoRWM) and a former President of the Society for Radiological Protection.
